2008 July > "Build that Gazebo" at West Oak Village

West Oak Village raised funds to purchase a gazebo which will allow the residents to sit in a section of the gardens with their loved ones in some shade. They have not been able to use this section of the gardens as there are no areas with shade or seating. West Oak Village engaged the help of a team of 14 volunteers from HBOS Canada, who were keen to make a contribution to the local community. HBOS was formed in 2001 by the merging of the Halifax Building Society (the largest residential mortgage and savings provider in the UK) and Bank of Scotland ( the oldest Scottish Bank formed in 1695).
