2008 July > Alex Corrance Memorial Ball Hockey Tournament

The 2nd Annual Alex Corrance Memorial 3 on 3 Ball Hockey Tournament held at Canlan Ice Sports in Oakville was once again an overwhelming success. The tournament is in memory of Alex Corrance who died suddenly on December 26, 2006 at the age of 17 when he collapsed to the ice in the first period of a Midget AAA hockey tournament. All proceeds from the event go directly to the Alex Corrance Memorial Fund which was established to save the lives of young adults who are genetically prone to sudden death due to heart rhythm abnormalities. The goal is to help support designated research studies along with education and awareness.
