2008 July > Yard Sale For The Cure

Hundreds of people turned their junk into treasure on May 31st to help raise money for breast cancer research and treatment. This was the 4th Annual Yard Sale for the Cure. Whether it was a coffee in the morning together, trading items for something needed or joining together afterwards for impromptu barbeque, the sense of community was very powerful indeed. Congratulations to all those involved with this very successful fundraiser. Hopefully this illness will not continue to touch one in nine women with contributions like these. Yard Sale for the Cure is an organization that raises money for Breast Cancer research and treatment by holding a massive series of Yard Sales in selected neighbourhoods across Canada.
