2008 July > Celebration of Achievement

The Rotary Clubs of Oakville Trafalgar (RCOT) and Oakville West (RCOW) celebrated their annual Awards of Academic Excellence and Bursaries at Otello’s Banquet Hall. The two Clubs presented close to $30,000 in awards at the event. Guest speaker Dan Ferrone, former Toronto Argonaut and renowned Oakville resident, encouraged the students to realize their dreams and never give up on their passions. RCOT President Verna Andrews and RCOW President Doreen Blake thanked all those in attendance, especially noting the hard work of all the guidance staff in Oakville’s high schools for the countless hours they spend putting together application forms for the Scholarships and Bursaries.
