2008 July > "Seeing Our Voices" Reception

The Towne Square Gallery in Downtown Oakville hosted an exhibit of photographs taken by Halton youth as part of the Seeing Our Voices project that was organized by the Our Kids Network. The exhibit showcased the work of 20 youth who participated in the Seeing Our Voices project. In order to better understand issues that youth face, the Our Kids Network brought together a range of youth to record and reflect on aspects of their life and important issues in their community by using a camera to capture their thoughts. The Our Kids Network represents Halton's commitment to the healthy development and well being of all children in our community from prenatal to adolescence. The Network is committed to their vision that “All Children Thrive”!
