2008 July > Gapes Halton Junior Relay Meet

It was a great day for running as 30 schools, from Halton, Grades 3-6, met at Nelson High School for the Gapes Halton Junior Relay Meet. High energy and teamwork were top priorities for these young runners. Oakville’s Pine Grove Public School dominated the day, led by coach Monsieur John Mark Deneau, a teacher who has been training students to become winning runners for years. Every child who participated in this meet, however, was a winner. These students competed for the opportunity to be on the team and then trained to be a “Team” running relays, an art in itself. Congratulations to each one of you.
