Sweethearts for Sick Kids

The second annual “Sweethearts for SickKids, Luke’s Legacy” fundraiser celebrated the inspirational life of Luke Holmes. Children and adults donated $5.00 to decorate a heart shaped cookie, with the proceeds benefitting the Cardiac Critical Care Unit at SickKids Hospital. February is Heart month and Luke’s birth month and to honour his legacy the Holmes family support other kids in their fight with congenital heart disease. Participants went home with a sweet, sticky customized confection to “Tickle Your Tummy”! A nut free bakery donated heart shaped cookies and icing. Whole Foods Market supplied the space, Golda’s Kitchen provided a discount on sprinkles for the cookies, and friends of the Holmes family provided the remainder of the supplies. Luke's Legacy!
