The youngest Millies celebrating Chinese New Year
SMLS Celebrates Chinese New Year
The students at St. Mildred’s-Lightbourn School were recently busy celebrating Chinese New Year! The youngest Millies (in JK) dressed up in traditional Chinese costumes and listened to four year old student Angel Ngo, who told her class all about Chinese New Year and her family’s traditions. Celebrating cultural diversity is something that SMLS students embrace. At the end of January, they held their 5th annual Mosaic Multicultural Festival, a student-run event, where they raised money for The Stephen Lewis Foundation. Throughout the year, the school holds a variety of special events to mark the different holidays.
